Moorcroft Mrs McNamara Vase

Moorcroft Mrs McNamara Vase, MCR-174. Originally founded as a studio in 1897 within a large ceramic company, James Macintyre & Co. Moorcroft pottery soon made its mark on the world. Today, Moorcroft leads the world of art pottery with its own distinctive design style. We are proud to present this Moorcroft collection featuring stunning pottery designs. The ‘Mrs McNamara’ snowdrop puts on a fine show early in the New Year. It is a tall, upright plant with well-developed narrow glacous foliage at flowering time. Slender flowers are held well clear of the foliage and a small, rather slim ‘V’ marking can be found on the inner segment. The plant originated from Dylan Thomas’s mother-in-law, Mrs McNamara! Alongside these dainty snowdrops, Nicola’s design also features alpine squill – the star-shaped blue flowers which leap and dance towards the top of the design, speckled with buds and stamen. All articles purchased from We are lovingly and securely dispatched with our elegant packaging.
