Moorcroft Jewels of Ashwood Numbered Edition Vase

Moorcroft Jewels of Ashwood Numbered Edition Vase, MCR-220 Originally founded as a studio in 1897 within a large ceramic company, James Macintyre & Co. Moorcroft pottery soon made its mark on the world. Today, Moorcroft leads the world of art pottery with its own distinctive design style. We are proud to present this Moorcroft collection featuring stunning pottery designs. Few people can have given more of their life to the world of flowers than John Massey of the nationally celebrated Ashwood Nurseries. Attached to Ashwood Nurseries is John’s very own, equally celebrated, garden of flowers, trees and shrubs. Question John a little closer and you will find that he has a favourite cluster of flowers included in which are hellebores, cyclamen and snowdrops. A friend of Moorcroft for several decades, John also has a collection of Moorcroft in his Aladdin’s cave-style shop virtually unsurpassed anywhere in the UK. With John very firmly in mind, Moorcroft designer, Emma Bossons, brought to life two flowers from the nurseryman’s garden, namely snowdrops and his beloved cyclamen. Together they became Ashwood Garden. This is one of Emma’s very special vases, one which tells a story about a very special man in the Moorcroft firmament. This numbered edition vase is by Emma Bossons FRSA in the 3/5 shape. All articles are lovingly and securely dispatched with our elegant packaging.
