Moorcroft Hanabi Vase

Moorcroft Hanabi Vase, MCR-217 Originally founded as a studio in 1897 within a large ceramic company, James Macintyre & Co. Moorcroft pottery soon made its mark on the world. Today, Moorcroft leads the world of art pottery with its own distinctive design style. We are proud to present this Moorcroft collection featuring stunning pottery designs. Hanabi is by Moorcroft designer Vicky Lovatt. The Japanese word for fireworks, hanabi, means fire flowers, which seems particularly fitting when you look at these illustrations from the late 1800s of Japanese fireworks bursting into life. This is where designer, Vicky Lovatt, found inspiration for her design on the delicate 03/4 vase. Red, yellow and blue fireworks provide an explosion of colour in the dark, ink blue night sky, while those in the small houses below, gaze in wonder at the colourful display above them. All articles are lovingly and securely dispatched with our elegant packaging.
